- Google account information: When you choose to "Continue with Google," we collect basic profile information from your Google account for authentication purposes.
- Device information: We collect information about your device's operating system version and network connectivity status (whether your device is online or offline).
- Usage information: Information about how you use the App, including the features you use, the time and duration of your use, and other usage patterns.
- Receipt data: Information extracted from scanned receipts, including purchase details, merchant information, transaction amounts, dates, and payment methods. This data is stored locally on your device only, not on our servers.
- Camera and photo access: With your permission, we access your device's camera to scan receipts and may access your photo library if you upload existing receipt images.
- Storage access: We request storage permission to save scanned receipts and related data on your device.
- AI processing: We use Gemini AI (or other AI services) to process and extract information from your receipts. Receipt images are temporarily transmitted to these services for processing, but extracted data is stored locally on your device.
- Internet access: We require internet connection to utilize AI processing services and synchronize your data.
- Google Drive integration: We provide functionality to save your receipt data to your Google Drive account. When using this feature, your data is subject to Google's privacy policy and data practices.
3. How We Use Your Information
We may use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:
- Provide and improve Aora receipt scanning services
- Temporarily process your receipt images using AI services for data extraction (extracted data remains on your device)
- Organize and categorize your spending data
- Create reports and analytics about your purchasing history
- Personalize your experience
- Communicate with you about your account and our services
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance functionality
- Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

- Google: For authentication services
- AI Services (e.g., Gemini AI): Receipt images only are temporarily sent for processing; extracted data is not shared and remains on your device
- In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process
- If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of us or others
